Flame Maple Jumbo |
 |
This instrument is very similar to the classic Gibson J-185,
with additional artistic embellishments.
It has Flame Maple back, sides, and neck, with a Sitka spruce
soundboard.
The headcap, fingerboard, rosette inlay and bridge are ebony. |
| This back view shows the instrument's highly figured maple.
The back and sides are Big Leaf maple, chosen for its resonant
qualities.
The neck is Eastern hard maple, to take advantage of its strength and
stability. |

 |
This view shows the flame maple binding and
black/maple/black purflings, as
well as the zipper backstrip and ebony heelcap. |
| The "Reuter" rosette is inlayed with ebony and green abalone shell.
The bridge is ebony, also. Bridge pins are ebony with
an abalone dot. The compensated saddle is bone. |
